Hello again everyone! Recently, we introduced you to Steve Swindon… and then Nick Abear! Now it’s time for someone else: everyone’s favourite Sales Manager and all around nice guy: Marcus Isaacs.
1. Why did you join LoveSeitan?
I first met Steve Swindon in the Summer of 2019 and his story really resonated with me. We got on really well and we both felt I would be a great fit for the company. I also saw huge potential with the products. Not only does the seitan taste amazing, there is a huge opportunity to put seitan on the map in the UK with its unique selling points and gap in the market. Given my background, I knew I could add a lot of value to the business and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Time to make seitan mainstream!
2. What is your favourite type of seitan and why?
Sliced Seitan Pepperoni – no doubt! I can’t stop eating it (hot or cold straight from the packet). It’s so good! Of course, it’s awesome on pizza as well.
3. What do you love most about working with the LoveSeitan team?
The people – down to earth people that enjoy what they do and don’t take life too seriously. There’s a great balance and a clear passion for making and delivering the best seitan on the market.
4. Outside of work, what are your favourite hobbies/activities?
I enjoy playing tennis to keep fit. I also like to squeeze in a round of golf when I can and you’ll quite often find me down the local working men’s club potting balls on the green baize. I’ve always been a bit of a foodie, so love eating out (when the government allows). Music has always been a great passion of mine, so watching live music, listening to music and getting back into playing the piano are essentials for me.
5. What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given/quote you’ve ever heard?
I can’t think of anything overly inspirational, but ‘hard work, pays off’. My advice to others would be: ‘Follow your dreams and do what makes you happy. Life’s too short, so don’t live in regret.’
Usually, you only regret the things you don’t do, not the things you do.
