Seitan Fried Rice

Brings out the quality of the seitan

A hearty mix of freshly cooked rice with chopped seitan and fresh vegetables.


  • Chilli & Garlic, Simply or Funky Chyck’n Seitan
  • White or brown rice
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic chopped
  • A thumb sized piece of ginger, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • Sweetcorn, tinned or frozen
  • Fresh Spinach
  • 1/2 large red pepper
  • 1/2 large yellow pepper
  • 1/2 large orange pepper
  • Red Chilli(optional)
  • A handful of coriander
  • Oil for frying


  • Cook the rice and set to one side
  • Heat the oil and gently fry onions, ginger and chopped garlic until soft keeping a close eye to avoid burning. (3-4 mins)
  • Add the Soy Sauce along with the peppers and sweetcorn allowing to cook for further 5 minutes.
  • Add the chilli, spinach and coriander saving a small amount of coriander for dressing completed dish and cook for a further 2 mins.
  • Chop up the seitan into approx 10mm pieces, add to the pan along with the cooked rice.
  • Stir well and cook for another 3 minutes, add the remaining coriander and server immeadiately.
  • (Tweak the dish how you like by adding other vegetables of your choice).
