Classic is perfect for a stunning Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. It’s great in a stew or casserole, but works equally well with pasta or in a crisp, fresh salad.
New 1kg Logs
Our new seitan logs are different from our traditional blocks in that they are round (hence logs, see photo above). Also they are 1kg in weight rather than 800g for the blocks so you get 25% more for the same price.
Water, Wheat Gluten, Soy Sauce (Soy Extract (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Wheat), Sugar, Salt, Acidity Regulator: Acetic Acid) Gram Flour, Nutritional Yeast (with added Vitamin B12), Onion Powder, Smoked Paprika, Dried Basil.
Storage & Preparation
Our seitan logs have a long (4 month) shelf life so long as the packaging is intact. Once opened, wrap the remaining seitan tightly in cling film, keep refrigerated and use withing 48 hours of opening. Alternatively, freeze the seitan on the day of opening and use within 3 months of freezing.

Our Classic seitan is rich in plant protein and low in fat with no cholesterol. Approximate % of calories by weight from protein = 62%, fat = 6.2% (1% from saturated fat).
For comparison salami is approximately 26% protein and 70% fat (24% from saturated fat).
