Miso Seitan Skewers



  • 1 pack shredded seitan or 1/2 1kg seitan log 
  • 3 cloves garlic  
  • Thumb ginger 
  • 1/2 red chilli  
  • 1 tbsp miso paste 
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce 
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar/1 tbsp agave syrup 
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 
  • 2 tbsp water 


  • Grate the chilli, ginger and garlic using a fine grater.
  • Mix this in a bowl with the remaining ingredients.
  • Marinade the seitan in the sauce for as long as possible and thread these onto skewers.
  • Cook these on a griddle or in a pan for 10 minutes.
